These oils nourish and soothe fatigued skin. Some of the benefits, such as hydration and improving the appearance of skin texture, are immediate. Other benefits, such as supporting the skin matrix, result from consistent use over a period of up to 28 days.
Macadamia (Macadamia ternifolia) seed oil is rich in natural hydrating fatty acids, and especially rich in Omega 7. Known as 'The Beauty Omega', it occurs in salmon, sea buckthorne and macadamia and is essential to the manufacture of collagen. Macadamia is an Australian native, sometimes called Queensland Nut Tree or Maroochy Nut and is also exceptionally rich in naturally occurring squalene, (not to be confused with the synthesised squalane), which the skin produces as its own natural moisturant.
Strawberry Gum Oil (Eucalyptus olida) is especially high in pro-aging anti-oxidant and hydrating phyto-actives with proven strong anti-inflammatory and anti-fatigue activity.
Australian Sandalwood (Santalum spicatum) grows in the semi-arid parts of Australia. Like its Indian cousin, Australian sandalwood is highly prized in skin care. Rich in Omega 3, 6, 9, and the rare ximenynic acid (which protects the skin and stimulates circulation, it reduces the appearance of fine lines, improves skin tone and hydration, and supports dermal strength.
Kangaroo Flower (Anigozanthos flavidus) in Sunflower Seed oil (Helianthus annuus). Excellent for hydration and skin support, the desert Kangaroo Flower is packed with nutritious fatty acids. Sunflower oil is high in Vitamin E and also contains oleic acid that acts as a partitioning agent cutting through the skin barrier, moisturising and nourishing the skin as well as assisting the absorption of other oil-soluble ingredients.
These facial oils are suitable for sensitive skin. They contain no fragrances and we do not use any oils in their Essential Oil form.
Jojoba is technically a wax rather than an oil and is the closest in consistency to the texture of skin's natural waxiness. Jojoba oil is the perfect carrier for Australian Rosella, a nourishing Australian drought resistant plant that is rich in mucilage, a naturally occurring emollient produced by plants to store water and food.
Australian Botanicals Nourishing Facial Oils is created with nutrient-rich ingredients sourced from pristine environments to ensure high levels of phyto-actives.
HOW TO USE IT
A little goes a long way. Apply 1-2 drops morning and night after, or instead of, moisturiser.
Partner with Founder’s Formula Phyto-A+ Australian Native Tobacco to build collagen and Australian Botanicals Pro-Aging Treatment Serum for multiple pro-aging action; and/or with Founder’s Formula Wild-Harvested Kakadu Plum Vitamin C Serum for sun damaged or very pigmented or wrinkled skin.
For best results apply in the following order: serums, then moisturiser, then oils. Apply SPF last.
If using more than one serum in your routine, it is fine to mix the serums before applying.
You can also pat oils on a dry face during the day any time, over your moisturiser.
Storage: To extend the life of your Founder's Formula natural oils and serums, store in a cool, dry, dark place.
